Kathie was having issues with his sump pump. During large rainfalls, his system would overwork itself and become back up, leaving his basement flooded. Kathie was finally fed up with having to clean his basement and reached out to Healthy Spaces to have a new sump pump installed.

Solution

After a free, no-obligation estimate, we were ready to create a dry, safe space.

First, we put in our TripleSafe sump pump system. It offers an effective and economical solution to your wet basement problems. It comes with an airtight sump lid that keeps odors and humidity out and protects your sump from debris from the basement floor.

Secondly, our IceGuard discharge sump pump line was also installed. On top of installing our TripleSafe sump pump system, installing two discharge lines protected by the IceGuard sump pump discharge line system, ensures that your basement stays dry ALL the time! This is a specially engineered fitting that goes outside your home and automatically ejects the water away from the exterior wall in the event the pipe freezes. It is designed with holes in it to allow this to happen, yet no water at all gets out of these openings when the pipe is not frozen.

Open and inefficient sump pump. The sump should have an airtight lid on it to prevent water from evaporating out of the sump hole into your basement, to stop stuff from falling in that can clog the pump or switch, and to quiet the system.

Here you can see where we've excavated for the liner and pump to be placed in. Doing this protects their sump pump from the mud and debris around the pump pit. We back-fill with gravel around the sump liner to ensure the sump pump system stays as clean as possible.

Here you can see that both discharge lines from the TripleSafe are protected by the IceGuard sump pump discharge line.

We installed IceGuard which prevents frozen or clogged discharge lines. If the pipe underground freezes in the winter, water can still be pumped out without the worry of backups in your basement!
