CleanSpace Crawlspace Installation in Jasper, IN
Challenge
These Jasper homeowners contacted Healthy Spaces regarding odors and moisture in their 1875 square foot crawlspace. The crawlspace was comprised of several chambers due to the configurations of three additions. Due to the irregular footprint of the home, coupled with limited access between the chambers created a difficult configuration of the perimeter drain.
Solution
Once the Healthy Spaces Design Specialist finished measuring the crawlspace footprint and creating a comprehensive coverage system for the perimeter, he recommended installing dimple roll to move the groundwater toward the perimeter system in the event that the water seeps in from the center. After the installation team re-leveled the crawlspace floor, removed the debris, and installed the perimeter system. After everything was in place, the team installed SilverGlo to insulate the walls and then sealed the entire crawlspace with CleanSpace engineered film. CleanSpace is more than just a vapor barrier, it is 20 mil poly-blend layered plastic with an "UltraFresh" additive to combat mold.
