Challenge

These homeowners were struggling with a really frustrating situation.  Their basement was constantly damp and smelly and occasionally very wet.  The mold growth was visible on several surfaces and the homeowners were concerned. They decided to contact Healthy Spaces to resolve these problems right away.  

Solution

The homeowners wanted their basement to be dry all the time, so they decided to install a comprehensive WaterGuard system to accomplish their goals. 

First, the installation team treated the entire basement from subfloor to floor with Biocide and Forticel to kill mold and other problems.  They treated every thing, then thoroughly scrubbed every surface.  Once the mold was taken care of, the installation team set to work making the basement dry all the time.

The installation team installed 120 linear feet of Waterguard along the perimeter of the basement.  They installed 4 linear feet of trench drain to capture moisture coming up in the middle of the floor in one area.

The walls were covered in 259 linear feet of BrightWall panels to direct wall moisture into the WaterGuard system.  The WaterGuard drainage system will empty into a powerful Zoeller SuperSump sump pump to make sure water is kept out of the basement of the home.
