Service Ride Along: Series 2- Part 2
Welcome back to the second part of my Service ride along with Cameron Lara. If you haven’t read part 1 yet, click here to check it out. During a service ride along, I step out of the office for the day and ride shotgun with one of our service team members, giving you a behind the scenes experience of what goes on in a day!
Our first 2 stops of this day were in Mount Vernon, IN, and New Harmony, IN. Let me take you along the rest of our day now!
Stop 3- Back to Mount Vernon, IN we go. Lucky for me, we were in another crawl space, but this time it was encapsulated with CleanSpace. If you don’t know why I’m so excited about this crawl having it, click here and you’ll see! This crawl space was close quarters, so if you are claustrophobic, you wouldn’t want to be in here. As Cameron wiggled himself through the EverLast crawl space door, I braced myself knowing I was next! I shimmied my way to the sump pump where Cameron tested the battery alarm, changed the batteries, and began cleaning out the sump pump. From there, he checked the floor joists for mold and didn’t see any. With the crawl space floor being sealed with CleanSpace, mold isn’t as common because moisture isn’t easily let in.
Stop 4- Our final stop was in Poseyville, IN. We were doing a mold check in this customer's basement. We made our way to the door and knocked, and she greeted us with a smile. She showed us the way to her basement, and through her words, you could hear how much she dreaded that space in her home. Cameron and I made our way down there to check it out. We did find a few places of new mold growth, but he cleaned it on the spot and made sure the basement was back to a healthy state. We made our way upstairs and Cameron told the homeowner about the mold he found and treated. She was thankful that she had her annual maintenance appointment when she did!
This concludes another recap of me stepping out of the office for the day. As you can see, our Service Department rocks! To schedule your annual renewal, give us a call at 1-812-602-4025.
