In 1999 I started Swat Pest Management with one goal in mind. To offer the Tri-State a better solution for pest control. The business grew greater than my wife and I could have ever expected. By 2000 we moved to a facility and hired 2 employees to help with production. By 2002 we added mold and moisture to the service that we provided our clients. When we were doing our termite inspections in crawlspaces, we found many problems from wood rot, mold, and moisture. With this process we decided to use temp vents, inexpensive sump pumps, and 6 mill as a vapor barrier to control moisture. We found out later this worked on moisture but not on mold, because we didn't do anything about the true cause humidity.
