Outdated Window
Metal framed windows rust, wood windows rot, and they are impossible to keep painted. In addition to the fact they leak air, single pane glass is an energy waster.

Restoring The Bottom of Finished Walls
In order to fix the water problem properly, and protect finished walls in the future, it is necessary to cut the bottom of the finished walls and install a proper drainage system.
Remove Damaged Drywall
Here you can see where our team has already cut out and removed the damaged drywall and bottom studs. We then installed a perimeter drainage system, WaterGuard, which will protect their basement from any future water intrusion.
Installing Perimeter Drainage System
One method of a drainage system is to install a sub-floor drainage system along the perimeter of the floor. There are a few challenges to this method but the biggest challenge is to keep the drain from getting clogged with mud. This is why we install our patented WaterGuard system. It's design separates it from the soil under the floor so it will never clog. It also has a special wall flange that creates a neat space between the floor and the wall to drain any wall seepage, without allowing dirt and debris from the floor to enter.

Once the drainage system has been installed all around the perimeter, the entire system is cemented in place.
Preparing for Drainage Around The Perimeter of Basement
By installing our WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement, their basement is protected from future destructive leakage. Once installed, we then began working on restoring their finished walls.

WOW! We just can't get over how beautiful this basement turned out. Our EverLast Wall Restoration System is the perfect option in not having to replace the entire basement wall. The panels are cement board, covered with a textured washable vinyl finish, and the trim is all plastic - Nothing for mold to grow on!
