Princeton, IN wet crawlspace
Here is the Princeton, IN wet crawlspace before the Healthy Spaces team installs a CleanSpace system. Note how the soil is clearly very wet and the wooden subfloor and walls are also showing moisture damage.
Waterproofing Trenches flood during installation
In order to remove as much water from the crawlspace, a series of trenches were dug and a drainage piping system installed. During that installation, the trenches were already flooding, so the Healthy Spaces team was pumping water out of the crawlspace throughout the installation process.

Here is a close up of the sump pump that was installed in the Princeton, IN crawlspace. This powerful Zoeller pump will remove the water that floods into the drainage system and pump it outside through a rugged discharge line.
Preparing the Discharge line site
While one part of the crew works on encapsulating the crawlspace, another installation crew member is preparing the discharge line. You can see here that he has carefully designated the discharge line route and is removing the sod and soil. He carefully places both on plastic to insure that his job site is easy to clean up.
Discharge line exiting crawlspace in Princeton, IN
Here, you can see the discharge line exiting the side of the crawlspace wall. The installation craw will be making sure to direct water far away from the crawlspace, so that once the water is pumped out, it stays out.
Discharge line progress
As the installation crew continues to build the discharge line, it is important to ensure the line is sloping away from the home within the trench. This will help the water to flow out of the system quickly and resist backflow issues. To that end, each segment of the discharge line is carefully configured within the trench prior to installing the next section.
Proper DIscharge line flow
In some cases, it is necessary to have a dishcarge line make a turn before it terminates. This can be due to limitations of the property and existing grade. In this case, the backyard slopes perfectly toward the rear and will ensure a proper drainage area, so the discharge line is matched up with that grade during installation.
Drainage line installation
Here, you can see the installation crew has begun fixing the discharge line together and testing the system.
Restoring Sod after discharge line installation
Now that the discharge line is properly tested and complete, the crew has filled the trench and returned the sod to the area to cover it. The entire discharge system will be invisible once the sod reintegrates with the surrounding landscaping.

Here's the view of the installed discharge line in the backyard. It's already hard to spot the installation area. By next Spring, the exact location will be indistinguishable from the surrounding yard.
