Photo Album: Basement in Need of TLC in Evansville, IN
In Evansville, Indiana, a realtor needed to waterproof the basement before putting the home up on the market. Water was leaking inside, which could result in buyers paying 10% less for the home. This would be a huge loss for both parties, which is why Healthy Spaces was contacted. Because of the water leakage, the basement was damp and humid, making it uninviting for future homeowners.
There had to be a water system installed to catch the water that was leaking through the walls, to prevent water from reaching inside. To bring this part of the project, a small trench is made with footing inside. The WaterGuard system is then placed on top of the footing. Since water vapor can enter through the walls, CleanSpace is put on to protect against water vapor. The SuperSump pump is positioned inside a hole that was made. Any water that enters the WaterGuard system will be directed toward this sump pump. The SuperSump disposes of the water out ad away from the home.
