Leaky Basement in Junction, IL

A homeowner in Junction, IL, reached out to us regarding his leaking basement. The basement was used as extra storage space. After heavy rainfall, the homeowner noticed that the basement started leaking water through the walls and sat on the basement floor. This action caused the space to leave a musty smell and worries that the basement would be unsafe for more storage if it isn't repaired soon. The basement would need waterproofing done along with something to permanently stabilize the walls that seemed to bow due to the soil being moved during the rainfall. 

The basement walls were covered using CleanSpace. When CleanSpace is put on the walls, it will prevent water vapor from escaping into the environment, causing humidity or mold. If any water finds its way inside, it will be directed towards the WaterGuard system that is put in the ground below. The Water Guard system will direct the water to the UltraSump pump that will empty the water out and away from the home. Once the waterproofing system is completed, the walls are permanently straightened using the PowerBrace System. This will prevent any soil outside the home from creating a bowing wall in the basement.
