Basement Waterproofing in Edwardsport, IN
Challenge
Homeowners Sara and Matthew T. had many issues with their home that they were finally ready to fix. With their growing family, they knew they needed to make their home a healthy atmosphere to raise children in. Their home was passed down to them from family and has was built over 70 years ago. With the water in the basement being their main concern, they have found a few issues that contribute to it. The side wall in the cellar off basement has a crack across the wall, and the basement windows leak when it rains. Since their basement has had standing water since winter, they got a store-bought pump and dehumidifier to try to fix the issue, but it hasn't worked.
Solution
Design Specialist, Chris Russell, was sent to Sara and Matthew's home to listen to and see their concerns. He did a thorough inspection and sat down with the homeowners to give them their free estimate, and agreed with everything that needed to be completed. First and foremost, the basement would need a WaterGuard perimeter system installed to catch all of the intruding rain. This water would then lead to the TripleSafe sump pump, where it would be taken out and away from the house through discharge lines. A SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier would sit in the basement next to the sump pump to take all of the moisture out of the air.
The kids will now be able to utilize the extra spaces as well.
