Henderson KY Flooding Basement made Dry All the Time!

We will be walking through these pictures room by room. Here is the severe degradation and staining present from water intrusion in the wall between the laundry room and main basement area.

Here is the dug out trench with water being directed to the sump pump. Waterguard will be placed in the trench shortly.

Here is a before picture of the leaking basement walls. Waterguard has a special flange that will catch leaking wall moisture and direct it into the Waterguard system to be removed from the basement.

The homeowners noticed that the water intrusion was even present around their basement fireplace, which they have not been able to enjoy because the basement is too wet year round.

The fireplace brick is curved, which will not be a problem for the installation crew. Waterguard can be installed in all sorts of tricky places!

The crew completes the perimeter drain trenching installation and will connect the Waterguard system to the SuperSump system.

Here is a picture of the main basement with the trench dug, cleaned out and ready for Waterguard.

As soon as the crew began trenching out the basement perimeter, the trenches began to fill with water. Thankfully, this is not a problem and the crew was able to direct moisture to the sump pump for removal!

Here is the trench dug out around the fireplace. The crew is already using the trench to direct moisture out of the basement.

Here, you can see the front loading dryer in the background. The homeowners stated that they had a very hard time getting laundry to dry because the air was always so damp. Once the moisture is removed from the environment, the dryer will function more efficiently.

Here is the cleaned out trench in the laundry room. As soon as the trench is complete, it will fill up with water.

Sump pump 1: Main basement room. Here is an action shot of the crew digging out the sump pump pit. They were really moving fast!

Here is the sump pit with basket in place for the first sump pump. The installation team is installing two sumps in two different rooms due to the volume of water to be moved and the complex nature of the perimeter installation required throughout the lower level. The best part of the SuperSump system is the airtight lid with drain.

Here is a picture of the second sump pump in place in the laundry room. Due to the amount of area covered and the complex perimeter installation, the homeowners elected to have 2 sumps placed in their home. You can see how much better the SuperSump is than a regular sump pump, in part because of the lid and drain. Looking closely, you can also see the WaterWatch alarm that will notify the homeowners if the sump pump were to become overwhelmed or stop functioning properly. It will also notify them if the pump loses power. Thankfully, the homeowners also purchased an UltraSump battery back up so their pump will work even if the power goes out!
