Henderson KY Flooding Basement made Dry All the Time!
Challenge
These Henderson, KY homeowners were at their wits end! They had constant basement flooding the last two weeks and prior to that, seasonal flooding that had ruined the walls and floor of the basement, laundry room, and garage. They had scrubbed the walls and floor regularly to clean it and applied a vinyl paint to attempt to stop the water from running down the walls, but the paint would just bubble and peel off the walls due to the moisture.
After meeting with a dry basement expert from Healthy Spaces, the homeowners realized that they could have an interior drainage system installed in about 4 days that would leave their basement, laundry room, and garage dry all the time.
First, the Healthy Spaces installation team cut trenches into the perimeter of the three flooding areas, even around tricky corners and a curved fireplace. Next, they installed a Waterguard interior drainage system and hooked it up to 2 powerful Zoeller sump pumps system.
Solution
The Healthy Spaces installation team installed over 130 linear feet of Waterguard perimeter drainage system throughout the below grade levels. They also installed 4 inspection ports so system maintenance will be a snap! Next, they connected the Waterguard system to a Super Sump sump pump system with UltraSump and an extended discharge line 60' long! Where the discharge line exits the house, they installed an IceGuard to prevent the discharge line from freezing. The termination point of the discharge line is covered in a LawnScape Outlet, which is constructed of a heavy grade plastic roughly the same green as most grass. The LawnScape is a visually appealing way to terminate a discharge line and is sturdy enough to stand on.
You can see where Steven Joseph and his installation team battled severe water intrusion to install the sump pump in the best location to remove all the water from the basement. What a difference the right system can make! The basement is already dry and the system installation isn't quite finished yet!
