Waterproofing and Restoration in Owensboro, KY home

Challenge

These Owensboro, KY homeowners were sick and tired of vacuuming up water from their basement.  "It was a waste of a couple hours a day trying to keep the basement under control.  We were losing the battle every night and then vacuuming throughout the day," said Gil.  As the summer turned to fall, the homeowners decided that something had to be done--the basement leaks showed no signs of stopping! 

Solution

Scott Thompson, a system design specialist with Healthy Spaces, met with Gil and his wife to help them create a custom solution to their basement water issues.  Together, they decided that the basement water problem would be best resolved with a full perimeter drainage system called Waterguard, coupled with a SuperSump sump pump system.  

Despite the fact that the basement was not dry, the installation moved forward on schedule and the crew was able to trench out the basement with no problems.  The sump pump pit did fill with water as it was being created, but that did not present a delay in the project.  "The Waterguard system functioned beautifully and did exactly what they said it would.  I'm thrilled!" said Gil.
