This homeowner in Mount Carmel, IL had a musty smell in their basement. They had no water issues in their basement but they have a small crawl space under their home that they never went into. They finally said "enough is enough," and decided to call Healthy Spaces. For the basement, we installed a full perimeter WaterGuard below-floor drain system, a SuperSump pump system to make sure the water gets evacuated, and we put a SaniDry XP dehumidifier in the space to keep the air dry and prevent mustiness. Finally, we encapsulated the crawl space with a CleanSpace encapsulation and put spray foam in the rim joists of the crawl space to keep the area sealed.
