What's That White Chalky Powder?
Efflorescence is from minerals in the concrete, mortar, or soil that dissolve in water and are left behind when the water evaporates off the surface of a wall or floor. It appears as white powder or crystals and is sometimes confused with mold. but is not alive.
A Wet Floor
Imagine walking to your basement and seeing water lying on the floor. The stress can be overwhelming, but we have a solution for you.
A Bad Place For Storage
With many homeowners, their basement is a perfect place for storage, and we agree. When storing valuable items, we want them to be protected just as much as you do. Water and humidity in your basement can cause mold growth on these items as well.
A Clean Wall System
We use CleanSpace, a heavy, durable, plastic liner as a wall solution for stone walls in basements. It provides a vapor barrier, drains water behind it, and dramatically brightens the basement.
A Working Drainage System
Now, the water will be directed into the WaterGuard system that was installed around the perimeter of the basement floor. When the water collects in the WaterGuard, it is directed to the sump pump.
