New Crawlspace Door Installed in Mount Vernon, IN

Challenge

These homeowners in Mount Vernon, IN have been experiencing rain water and pest intrusion in their crawlspace due to an inadequate crawlspace entry. Last year, the homeowners decided to have CleanSpace installed in their flooding crawlspace to transform their crawlspace into a conditioned, encapsulated area. This year, they decided that their crawlspace needs to be secured with a durable plastic Turtl crawlspace entry door.

The homeowners met with Damon Cheatham at their home and determined that they would like to be able secure and lock their crawlspace door as well because they have both an interior and exterior crawlspace access and they are concerned about home security

Solution

The crawlspace door, a Turtl, was installed by Richard Cline and his crew last week. First, they rolled back the existing Cleanspace in order to level the area under the crawlspace entry to the proper depth. Next, they cleared away the sod on the exterior of the home and placed the Turtl over the entrance. Once the Turtl crawlspace door was in place, they showed the homeowners how to secure the door against intruders.
