This one-story home with a full basement in Monroe City had been experiencing foundation settlement and subsequent cracking until Healthy Spaces came to the rescue. Over many years the soil on the side of the house had slowly eroded enough for the brick wall to crack, resulting in instability and an entry point for unwanted moisture and organic material. 

Solution

The solution? A GeoLock wall anchor system. Our Design Specialist, Damon Cheatham, designed a solution for these homeowners that will permanently stabilize their home's foundation. Wall anchors can counteract soil pressure by anchoring walls to stable, undisturbed soil outside your home. Thanks to threaded rods that extend through the wall, wall anchors can even be used to straighten walls in many cases.

Wall anchors are a versatile wall repair method because they can be used to stabilize a variety of problems such as bowing walls, walls tipping in at the top, and walls pushing in at the bottom. Wall anchors are installed independently from the floor system of the home and are a good choice for straightening over time.
