Carbon Fiber Stabilize Utica, KY Foundation Walls

Challenge

There are two foundation walls in this Utica, KY home that need to be reinforced due to bowing.  There is not much room on the exterior of the home, so wall anchoring is out of the question.  After meeting with Damon Chetham with Healthy Spaces, the homeowners determined that a carbon fiber reinforcement system from Foundation Supportworks called ArmorLock would be the best fit for their home and their budget.

Solution

ArmorLock Carbon Fiber Anchorage System stablizes and reinforces foundation walls from inward movements.  First, the installation team saturated carbon fiber straps with high-strength epoxy resin. Then, the straps are adhered to the foundation wall. Third, the entire system is bonded with high-strength epoxy resin top coat.  

The homeowners can now finish the basement space in whatever way that they would like.  They can rest easy knowing that their walls are reinforced and stablized.
