Our client in Saint Meinrad, IN, had recently purchased a home a 106 year home that would get water leaking in through the basement windows when it would rain. The purpose of basement windows is to add appeal to your space by bringing in natural sunlight.
Our team installed our EverLast Basement Windows that are energy-efficient, vinyl-framed replacement windows. They're designed with double-paned which are much more energy-efficient than the single-paned, steel-framed windows that are the industry standard. The EverLast Windows will never rot, rust, decay, or need paint. They won't be affected by being exposed to the elements, all the while maximizing the beauty of the basement space. The Low-E double thermopaned glass of EverLast™ Basement Windows saves you on your energy bills. It's a small upgrade that can really make a big difference for your home!

A home in Evanston, IN had a loft with light brown wooden beams on the ceiling. The homeowner reached out to us when a few mold spores were spotted on the beams. Mold can be an irritant for anyone with asthma or allergies. Mold likes to spread onto processed organic fibers, and since the ceiling is constructed of wooden beams, then the mold is being attracted to that area. This is a treatable issue, but it is best to catch it later to prevent any physical signs of allergies or asthma.
The mold on the ceiling is removed through mold remediation. Every problem area is scrubbed to remove any mold stains and then sprayed. After mold remediation is completed, if a homeowner wants reassurance that the mold is not able to thrive there again, a service technician can come annually to inspect the area. If any spots are spotted, it is normally sprayed and scrubbed. The homeowner was satisfied with the results of a mold-free ceiling!

Dale W of Vine Grove, KY had Waterguard and a Super Sump installed in his basement just about a month ago to combat leaking walls. Dale told us that from the first day that he moved in over 6 years ago, the walls have leaked all spring and summer, as well as occasional issues in the fall and winter. He was tired of using the wet vac to contain the moisture and had burned out two of them in the course of trying to keep his basement dry.
Damon of Healthy Spaces helped Dale to select the best system to keep his basement dry and installation was quick and easy, with minimal mess. It's been a month now and Dale says that he has completely forgotten to go down and check his walls for leaking. He has moved the wet vac out of the basement and only uses it now to sweep out his car! He's thrilled that he doesn't have to worry about his wet basement and can't believe how quickly he's gotten used to not worrying!
The homeowners of this Rockport, IN home had been struggling with a flooded basement for several years. They found this problem was stressful and time consuming.
The homeowners met with Scott Thompson, a waterproofing design specialist at Healthy Spaces, to help them design a custom waterproofing system. Scott proposed a full perimeter Waterguard system. Scott advised the homeowners to have Brightwall installed to direct wall moisture into the Waterguard system. The installation team installed 84 linear feet of Waterguard, 2 Waterguard inspection ports, 84 linear feet of Brightwall panels, 1 Supersump, an Iceguard, and a Lawnscape.
The basement has remained dry even during severe weather and the homeowners are looking forward to being able to use their basement for something other than a storage space.
The experts at Healthy Spaces were contacted by these Grandview, IN homeowners because the homeowners were struggling with a mold issue. The floor had mold and fungus growing along the perimeter and it was becoming unsightly and gross to deal with.
Chris Russell came out to inspect the home and was able to create a custom solution to stop the mold issue in its tracks. First, he recommended a Mold-X and fungus remediation. Next, he helped the homeowners stop basement flooding with a Waterguard basement waterproofing system enclosing 154 linear feet of Waterguard, 5 inspection ports, a TrenchDrain, a TripleSafe sump pump. Finally, he talked to the homeowners about lowering the relative humidity in the basement to inhibit mold growth. They purchased a powerful SaniDry upright dehumidifier to keep the basement dry all the time!
Vented dirt crawlspaces attract mold, mildew, dust mites, and pests of all kinds. This is due to the Stack Effect. The Stack Effect occurs because hot air leaves the home through your attic and upper levels, as it does, a new air is pulled upwards from the crawlspace. If the crawlspace is vented, then that air is being drawn in from outside. That outside air carries moisture that condenses when it reaches the cooler crawlspace and then promotes mold and mildew growth. These mold spores are then drawn up into the rest of the home when warm air leaves the attic.
The best way to prevent this vicious cycle is to seal off the crawlspace from the outside air, allowing conditioned air from inside the home to cycle into a sealed crawlspace. This encapsulation increases your energy efficiency, prolongs the life of your air conditioning system, and saves your home from expensive repairs due to pest or mold damage.
Kaytlen noticed water coming into her basement where the wall and the floor meet. She wanted to make sure that this wouldn't lead to an even bigger issue down the road. After researching on all of the different waterproofing contractors in the area, she found Healthy Spaces and decided to give them a call.
Shortly after she made the call, an appointment was set for Abe Ford to come and evaluate her basement. Abe and Kaytlen decided together that installing a WaterGuard and a SuperSump Pump would be the best fit for her basement to get rid of all the water. The WaterGuard is a sub-floor drainage system that is laid on top of the footing around the perimeter of the walls to collect and drain wall leaks. The WaterGuard will then empty water to the SuperSump, which pumps the water out of the basement and away from the home.
Kaytlen has been very happy and hasn't had any water issues whatsoever in her basement when it rains. It is now dry and will stay that way for many years to come!
This Rockport, IN family was experiencing problems with their crawlspace. It was flooding and damp often. It was smelly and they were concerned about mold issues. Upon arriving at the home, Damon Cheatham was able to see the mold growth clearly on the wooden subfloor and along the cement blocks.
Damon recommended a full mold remediation. After that, he recommended installing a vapor barrier with the CleanSpace liner. It's a durable, bright white crawl space liner that will prevent water vapor and humidity from passing through. It also has a mold-resistant additive that will never support mildew or mold growth on its surface.
The Healthy Spaces team transformed the crawlspace in less than a week into a beautiful and healthy crawlspace that will stay that way for years to come!
Marty, a homeowner in Dale, IN, was constantly fighting water getting in his crawl space every time that it rained. There was an older sump pump that was installed in the crawl space by the previous owner but it was pretty much useless. And he always had standing water on his old vapor barrier. Marty knew that if he wanted his water problem gone for good, he had to give Healthy Spaces a call.
Shortly after giving Healthy Spaces a call, an appointment was set for Bob Roberts to come evaluate the crawl space. Bob decided that installing a SmartSump pump system in his crawl space, along with EZ Flow Drainage would be the best bet to eliminate any water for good. In addition to waterproofing his crawl space, the walls were then covered in CleanSpace. CleanSpace is a 20 mil thick plastic liner, that completely seals off his home from the earth.
There's no doubt that Marty can now have peace of mind knowing that his crawl space will be dry every time it rains. Healthy Spaces is pleased that they could solve Marty's crawl space water problems in Dale, IN once and for all!
Ryan R. from Gentryville, IN noticed water coming in through the walls in his basement as well as his crawl space. He wanted to make sure this wouldn't lead to a more serious problem, so get went on the web and found Healthy Spaces. He gave us a call and scheduled his no-obligation inspection.
System Design Specialist, Damon Cheatham, went to Ryans' home to inspect it. He delivered a same-day quote as well. Damon recommended waterproofing the basement and installing a new TripleSafe sump pump to discharge the water. In the crawl space, Damon recommended that a CleanSpace vapor barrier be installed to keep moisture out.
