A church in Mount Vernon, IN, needed a sump pump replacement. Someone from the church had reached out to us in hopes of purchasing a Zoeller pump that would last much longer compared to the plastic one that was currently in use. During heavy rainfall, the old sump pump that was in use, could not keep up with the amount of water coming in, causing small puddles to form on the ground of the basement. The pump needs to be replaced with a reliable cast-iron pump in case of a plumbing leak. A pump transformation was underway!
The UltraSump pump was the best option to be installed in the basement. The UltraSump is made up of the sump liner on the outside, that has holes all over to accept water directly from the ground. An airtight sump lid prevents water from evaporating into your basement, to stop stuff from falling and clogging the pump. A floor drain in the sump lid is included if the basement were to ever flood, there would be a hole for the water to escape to. A pump stand is placed inside the sump liner to elevate the pump above the bottom of the sump liner, allowing sediment, mud, and debris, to settle to the bottom without clogging or otherwise affecting the pump. In case the sump pump would ever fails or if the basement was in danger of flooding, a pump alarm is fastened on top of the airtight lid. A battery-powered alarm that sounds automatically when the water reaches a level above the point where the pump should normally turn on is essential. With the new sump pump being installed, the church will now be dry, even on rainy days.
A couple's home was built in December, located in Boonville, IN, where moisture and condensation were the main concerns. To fix moisture in a crawlspace, a SmartSump pump, CleanSpace, Silverglo, and SaniDry are installed. An important tip to remember is that if the light is visible in a crawl space, then outside air is leaking in. The Sump pump will get rid of any water that is found in the crawlspace. Silverglo paneling has tiny graphite particles in its foam insulation to give it a silver/gray shine. These particles reflect heat and lower the material's conductivity and result in energy savings. CleanSpace is laid out to protect the crawlspace from outside air leaks. The SaniDry Crawl Space Air System is situated to filter air and dehumidify at a high-efficiency rate. The couple will now have peace of mind knowing that they have a permanent solution to having a healthier living environment for their family.
In Petersburg, IN, a homeowner was concerned about the health of their basement when it was discovered that water was in the crawl space of their home. Upon further inspection, cobwebs were existent in some areas of the crawl space. If spiders are finding a way inside the crawl space, then it is a sign that more critters can survive. Dust mites are something to watch out for in a crawl space. People with asthma and allergies will react to dust mite droppings.
To the prevention of spiders and other critters from reaching into the crawl space, the area is sealed with CleanSpace.
A couple in Evansville reached out to Healthy Spaces, in need of basement waterproofing. The wife has health issues ad was worried about mold being able to grow since the basement was humid and wet. It was smart that the homeowners wanted to take action before the problem worsened. If the basement continues to be humid and wet without treatments, then mold will be able to thrive, affecting the health of the homeowners, especially those with allergies or asthma. The homeowners were ready to transform their basement into a livable place and peace of mind.
To protect the environment of the basement, CleanSpace is installed on the walls. This will protect against water vapor. Mold remediation was performed to remove any mold that was growing or could grow on the surfaces of the basement. To create a constant dry airflow that would eliminate the ability of mold to survive, as well as humidity, the SaniDry Sedona was hooked up and ready to run! A WaterGuard system was installed alongside the walls to catch the water that would leak into the basement and flow down the CleanSpace Once the water is in the WaterGuard, it will flow towards the sump pump that was installed. It thrilled the homeowners to see a dry basement and not have to worry another day about the potential danger to their health.
An Evansville, IN family truck luck when the wife inherited a home. The only issue with the home was the basement, which had buckling walls. The buckling walls were causing water to leak into the basement whenever it rained, causing the homeowners to stress with the after clean-up. A part of the wall had stair-step cracking caused by the pressure from the soil and water outside the walls pushing into the wall and not being treated for so long. The inherited home started to feel like a burden and a blessing, but the homeowners were willing to change that!
There were two major issues with the home that needed to be resolved, such as the water leakage and the stabilization of the foundation. To first take care of the water leakage, CleanSpace is put on the walls to protect the vapor barrier. Next, the best solution for stabilizing the structure of the home was to install the PowerBrace system. The PowerBrace system permanently stabilizes the foundation and repairs the cracks that were once there. Once the basement walls were waterproofed and straightened for the homeowners, it was like a weight of worry had been lifted.
