Eliminating Mold in Crawl Space in Chrisney, IN

Homeowners in Chrisney, IN were purchasing this home. When they had an inspection done, the inspection report flagged the crawl space for having mold. With one of their children having terrible allergies, they knew that something had to be done before moving into this home. Their realtor told them about Healthy Spaces Fix It To List It program which offers priority scheduling and will only perform a full evaluation on what's listed on the inspection report.

In the before photo, you can still see the mold on the wood. Mold issues can dramatically lower the value of your home, and any house with significant mold problems will be difficult to sell. Additionally, mold can lead to serious structural damage to your home, which can be expensive and unsafe.

In the after photo, you can see that our product has been applied. It foams on contact with the affected area to provide visual identification of the problems & allows us to clean and restore the structural surfaces in the crawl space. Some companies might only clean with disinfectants, addressing only surface soil load. The problem with this is it only cleans the surface soil load, leaving behind dirt, debris, pollen, mold. The product that we use cleans beyond the soil load and accomplishes total source removal leaving behind a contaminate free surface.

Homeowners in Chrisney, IN, are now protected from regrowth and will have a drier, healthier space in their crawl space.

Dirt Crawl Space in Chrisney, IN

Homeowners in Chrisney, IN knew that their dirt crawl space had excess moisture in the air causing mold and could eventually lead to structural damage.

BEFORE: Moisture that enters the crawl space through the soil or vents can ruin insulation and also encourage mold growth and wood rot.

AFTER: Healthy Spaces installed a vapor barrier liner. Installing a vapor barrier will not only create a healthier living space but can save you money on your utility bills. We recommended doing a full encapsulation with our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier because it's the most effective in preventing water vapor and humidity from passing through. It also protects your structure and insulation from mold. But they asked to wait a couple of months before doing a full encapsulation in their crawl space.

Crack in Basement Wall in Monroe City, Indiana

In Monroe City, IN, a home with a basement needed repairs to the cracks that were spreading throughout the basement walls. The crack was in the middle of the walls that spread throughout the rest of the walls, leading to wall failure. If a problem such as this one is not solved, then it can lead to severe issues such as leaning walls and walls sliding in at the bottom of the structure. The homeowners needed reassurance that their basement walls would not give out soon.

A GeoLock Wall Anchor System was installed to stop wall failure in its tracks permanently. The rectangular, silver wall anchor system performs effectively by utilizing plates that are buried in the soil outside the basement wall. It will be installed to have up to 480 square inches of bearing surface. This system provides great stability and is designed to straighten the basement’s wall failure. The GeoLock Anchor System presents minimal disturbance to the home, lawn, and landscaping. Without the disturbance of their landscaping, it thrilled the homeowners about not having to worry about wall failure anymore!

Foundation Troubles in Monroe City, IN

In Monroe City, IN, a couple had a horizontal crack located on one of the walls in the basement. The crack seemed to worsen within a month or two, causing the couple to reach out to us for an inspection. Upon inspection, the wall was starting to bow and needed to be permanently straightened. The problem was solved using the Geolock Wall Anchor system. Once it was installed, the couple wanted to cover the GeoLocks to make the space feel more at home.

To cover the GeoLocks, each system is covered by the GeoLock cover. Covering the system is not necessary but it does create a "finished" look to the space.

Petersburg, IN Basement Restoration

Efflorescence is a mineral build up on walls caused by groundwater seeping through concrete and then evaporating.  It can be unsightly, especially if the walls are bright white!

The Healthy Spaces installation team used Biocide to treat the walls for mold and then installed a vapor retarding treatment called Cactus Juice.  The walls look good as new!
